The shipyard, established by Mario Spertini in Santa Margherita Ligure, near Genoa, in 1961, marked a significant turning point in the European yacht market with the introduction of “flying bridge” boats in 1963, which had previously been available exclusively in the United States.

These yachts quickly gained international acclaim, becoming preferred choices among members of the jet set.

The shipyard initially focused its production on vessels ranging from 18 to 30 meters in length, later expanding its offerings to include steel displacement cruisers of up to 34 meters.

In 1970, the first Alalunga model was launched, renowned for its exceptional performance in terms of speed and comfort.
